Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how LaunchNav LLC, doing business as EcosAtlas collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use EcosAtlas websites, accounts, platform features, communications, and services that link to this policy.
1. Scope and who is responsible
This policy covers EcosAtlas websites, accounts, business profiles, organization workspaces, custom data and research, inquiries, recruitment, and other services that link to it. LaunchNav LLC, doing business as EcosAtlas, determines the purposes and means of processing information for its own operations and business-information services. Where EcosAtlas processes customer-provided information only on the customer’s documented instructions, the applicable data-processing agreement governs that processing. Official source websites, customer-managed systems, and third-party services with their own notices are responsible for their own practices.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
Contact identifiers such as name, email, phone number, organization, and role; account credentials and preferences; business-profile fields, corrections, inquiry and support messages; and information supplied for an agreed data or research project. Commercial relationships can also involve order, invoice, and payment-status information. Recruitment submissions may include a résumé, cover letter, employment and education history, professional profile or portfolio URL, location, work interests, and work samples. Provide only information relevant to the requested task.
Information collected through use
IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, links and controls selected, session timing, consent choices, authentication and security events, form-verification and anti-abuse signals, diagnostics, error records, and activity needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.
Business information from other sources
Business and operating-location information comes from public records, official systems, company websites, company submissions, and other permitted sources. It can include identifiable professional information: names, roles, email addresses, telephone numbers, and business or mailing addresses of owners, officers, employees, and representatives. Some business addresses or contact details may also relate to an individual personally. Records may include professional activity, registrations, filings, ownership designations, and derived classifications. Linking or summarizing a record does not make identifiable information anonymous.
Communications and commercial information
Messages with EcosAtlas, requested demonstrations, product interests, account and order details, usage activity, invoices, payment status, referral attribution, email-update subscription status, email engagement, and records needed to administer a customer or partner relationship.
3. Why we use information
Provide and administer EcosAtlas
Create and secure accounts; provide search, opportunity, Atlas, profile, and export features; process orders and enforce access controls; authenticate authorized business representatives; and respond to support and privacy requests.
Maintain company information
Discover and resolve business records and their operating locations, link source observations, improve structured fields, evaluate possible duplicates or conflicts, support company submissions and corrections, and present source, freshness, or confidence context where available.
Improve and understand the service
Analyze product and public-site usage, troubleshoot problems, test features, measure performance, develop research and matching methods, and understand which content and workflows are useful. Optional website analytics is controlled through the cookie choices described in the Cookie Notice.
Communicate and market
Provide in-app notifications and, when enabled, send requested information, operational notices, security or billing messages, product updates, and marketing communications where permitted. Submitting the optional website email-updates form records a subscription with EcosAtlas’s email provider. You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in a message, although service and transactional messages may still be necessary.
Review job applications and working relationships
Use a role application to evaluate and communicate about that role and document the recruiting decision. Use a future-opportunity introduction to consider the kinds of future work requested in that submission. If we ask to retain a role application for a separate future-opportunity purpose, we will explain that use and request any required permission. Applications, inquiries, and privacy requests do not enroll you in marketing email.
Protect rights and comply with law
Detect and prevent fraud, scraping, abuse, security incidents, and violations; preserve evidence; enforce agreements; comply with lawful requests; exercise or defend legal claims; and protect EcosAtlas, users, sources, partners, and the public.
4. Legal bases where applicable
Where a legal basis is required, requested account and service activities may be necessary to perform a contract or take pre-contract steps. Security, business-record research, website measurement, troubleshooting, and relevant business communications may rely on legitimate interests where permitted and after considering the individuals affected. Website analytics uses the settings and opt-out controls described in the Cookie Notice. Optional campaign storage relies on your choice; processing to meet a legal obligation relies on that obligation. Withdrawing consent stops the consent-based activity going forward and does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful. It does not by itself authorize a new purpose or a replacement legal basis.
5. How we disclose information
Service providers and subprocessors
Providers help with hosting, infrastructure, authentication, security, email delivery, analytics, customer support, data processing, and professional services. They receive information needed for their role. Google processes reCAPTCHA technical and interaction data for security, fraud, and abuse prevention under its applicable Cloud terms and data-processing addendum. Application PDFs are sent to the email-delivery service as attachments for EcosAtlas’s recruiting team. AI-assisted processing is described in the AI and Automated Output Notice; customer-specific processing requirements belong in the applicable agreement.
Customers, exports, and requested recipients
EcosAtlas licenses access to business records and supplies authorized exports, datasets, and research. These records and deliveries can include named professional contact information. Recipients include authorized business and organization users and the recipients specified for an agreed delivery. Workspace access and delivery rights determine what a recipient can receive. Private customer submissions are handled for the requested service; business-profile fields are published according to the applicable publication choices. A private inquiry, résumé, or research prompt is not permission to publish it.
Sources, partners, and business participants
Limited information may be exchanged to confirm authority over a submission, correct a record, administer a referral or partner program, provide a requested benefit, or investigate an apparent data-quality or rights issue.
Legal, safety, and corporate events
Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, investigate fraud or security concerns, protect rights or safety, obtain professional advice, or evaluate or complete financing, restructuring, acquisition, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business.
6. Sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and universal opt-out signals
Licensing business records that identify individuals can constitute a sale of personal information under applicable privacy law, even when the records concern professional activity. You can request an opt-out of this licensing using Privacy requests or hello@ecosatlas.com; identify the relevant record or contact information so we can locate it. Cookie settings separately control optional website analytics and campaign attribution. The website does not use advertising pixels or advertising personalization. A recognized Global Privacy Control signal disables website analytics and campaign storage for that browser. This public website does not identify a visitor with a sourced business record merely from that signal; you may optionally provide identifying information to extend a request to the relevant record. A new version of this policy does not authorize a use of previously collected information that conflicts with an earlier applicable privacy promise.
8. Retention
Retention depends on the information and purpose: inquiries while responding and administering the relationship; role applications for the recruitment decision and related recordkeeping; future-work introductions for the requested recruiting purpose; account and transaction records for service, contractual, tax, and legal requirements; and business-source information for the relevant research and licensing purpose, subject to applicable privacy rights and source restrictions. Retention also considers sensitivity, legal limitation periods, customer instructions, and security needs. Information no longer needed for a justified purpose is deleted or deidentified. Restricted backups and legal holds may require delayed disposal; they do not authorize renewed ordinary use. Limited suppression records may be retained to honor an opt-out and prevent inappropriate re-collection. Contact hello@ecosatlas.com about the retention applicable to your information.
9. Security
EcosAtlas uses safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access and misuse. The public forms include submission validation, origin checks, anti-abuse verification, and basic file-format checks on uploaded application PDFs. Security requirements for customer data processing can also be specified in an applicable agreement. No system or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your credentials and contact hello@ecosatlas.com promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to information.
10. Your privacy rights and choices
Access, correction, deletion, and portability
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of certain personal information. Exceptions can apply, including for security, legal obligations, freedom of expression, public records, and information needed to provide a requested service.
Opt out or object
You may unsubscribe from marketing email, change cookie choices, and exercise applicable rights to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain automated decisions; limit qualifying uses of sensitive information; object to or restrict processing; or withdraw consent. Use Privacy requests or hello@ecosatlas.com for a record-related request. Cookie settings controls optional browser storage. Exercising one choice does not require you to accept an unrelated use of your information.
Appeals and complaints
If EcosAtlas denies a privacy request and applicable law provides an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to the decision or emailing hello@ecosatlas.com with “Privacy appeal” in the subject. You may also contact the privacy or data-protection authority in your jurisdiction.
Non-discrimination
EcosAtlas will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. A feature may still require information that is reasonably necessary to provide it.
11. Submitting and verifying a request
Use Privacy requests or email hello@ecosatlas.com. Tell us the right you want to exercise and the record, account, or information involved; a personal email address is welcome and an EcosAtlas account is not required. We request only information reasonably necessary to locate the information, respond, and, where required, verify an access, correction, or deletion request. A sale/sharing opt-out does not require identity verification; information needed to identify the affected record is distinct from proof of identity. Authorized agents may submit requests with appropriate evidence of authority, subject to applicable law. Do not send government identification, passwords, or unnecessary sensitive information through the public form. We handle requests within applicable legal deadlines and explain any permitted extension or denial, including any available appeal process.
12. Business-profile corrections and suppression
An authorized representative can request a business-profile correction or removal at hello@ecosatlas.com. We aim to address business-removal requests within 30 days, consistent with the earlier published policy; any shorter applicable legal deadline controls. A business-profile request and an individual privacy request can apply to the same record. Source history is not a blanket exception to an applicable deletion or opt-out right. Where information must be retained under a lawful exception or legal hold, its continued use is limited to that purpose. Limited suppression information, including the relevant business domain, helps prevent inappropriate re-publication. Removing information from EcosAtlas does not remove it from an independently operated official source.
13. International transfers
EcosAtlas operates from the United States. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Applicable transfer requirements and any customer-specific location restrictions depend on the processing and agreement involved. Contact hello@ecosatlas.com for information about the safeguards applicable to your processing. The U.S. scope of the business dataset does not mean that every service provider processes data only in the United States.
14. Children
EcosAtlas is designed for a business and professional audience. Platform accounts require an adult as described in the Terms of Service; eligibility for a work opportunity is described in the relevant recruiting materials. Do not submit unnecessary information about children in business records, research inputs, or public forms. If you believe a child’s information has been submitted or collected inappropriately, contact hello@ecosatlas.com so we can review and address it.
15. Changes and contact
We update this policy when information practices change and identify the revision date. A material change will receive any notice or consent required by law or an applicable earlier promise before it is applied to affected information. Continued website use is not consent to an incompatible new use of previously collected information.
