Accessibility Statement

EcosAtlas is working toward an experience that people can perceive, understand, navigate, and operate across devices and assistive technologies.

1. Our target

EcosAtlas uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as its design and development target for the marketing website and core product workflows. This is a target and ongoing commitment, not a representation that every page, third-party component, document, map, or feature has been independently audited or fully conforms.

2. Practices built into the experience

Structure and navigation

Semantic landmarks and headings, a skip link, descriptive page titles, predictable navigation, meaningful link text, and layouts designed to reflow on smaller screens and at increased text sizes.

Keyboard and focus

Keyboard-operable navigation and dialogs, visible focus indicators, logical focus movement, escape behavior for modals, and touch targets intended to remain usable across input methods.

Visual presentation

Color contrast targets, text alternatives for meaningful images, non-color state cues, reduced-motion handling, readable typography, and status or error messages exposed to assistive technology.

Forms and controls

Programmatic labels, required-field identification, plain instructions, understandable errors, and confirmation messages for public forms and preference controls.

3. Geographic views, tables, charts, and data-rich interfaces

Geographic views, tables, charts, and dense data interfaces can create additional accessibility challenges. EcosAtlas aims to provide list, table, text summary, filtering, keyboard, and export alternatives where practical so that a visual view is not the only way to reach essential information. The available alternative may vary by workflow and development stage.

4. Documents and third-party services

Linked official records, source websites, exported documents, authentication services, and other third-party content may present accessibility barriers. Report a barrier affecting a task through Contact and Support so we can investigate the path we control and help identify an alternative where possible. A third-party dependency does not make an essential task unimportant to our accessibility work.

5. Testing and improvement

The marketing website has undergone code review, automated accessibility checks, keyboard and focus checks, responsive and text-enlargement checks, and contrast review. These checks do not establish conformance of the core product or third-party workflows. Further manual assessment with assistive technologies, including screen readers and real mobile devices, remains part of the work needed for a formal conformance claim. Reports from users help identify barriers automated checks miss.

6. Requesting help or an alternative

If a page or task is difficult to use, contact hello@ecosatlas.com or use the Contact and Support page. Identify the page or feature, what you were trying to do, the barrier encountered, and, if you are comfortable sharing it, the browser, device, and assistive technology involved. You may also request information in a reasonable alternative format. Do not include passwords or sensitive account information.

7. Response and scope

EcosAtlas will review accessibility reports, prioritize issues based on impact and available resources, and communicate about practical next steps. Remediation timing can depend on complexity, third-party dependencies, source format, and whether an immediate alternative is available.

8. Statement updates

This statement will be updated as the product, testing scope, standards, or known issues change. A formal conformance claim, if made in the future, will identify the audited pages, date, WCAG version and level, known exceptions, and testing method.
